This illustration represents each of the six days of Creation. It would be accurate to say that the majority of Christian leaders do not believe that they have to read Genesis 1 to mean six literal Creation days. Certainly they would agree that God created—but not necessarily that God created in six literal days.Does it really matter

deals with this issue. This first illustration is just to help people
understand what Genesis 1 teaches concerning the events of each of the
six days of creation. Day one: the creation of the Earth, space, and time;
day two: the atmosphere; day three: the dry land and plants; day four:
the sun, moon and stars; day five: the sea and flying creatures; day six:
land animals and man.
