Back text: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth … and it was “very good” (Genesis 1–2). But sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin. In this way death came to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12). The good news is that Jesus Christ (the “Last Adam”) came to redeem the world from sin by dying on the Cross and rising again, paying the penalty of death for those who receive Him.
