In the months before the Creation Museum opened, several groups accused Answers in Genesis, among other things, of being a detriment to science and science education. To scare parents away, these groups sponsored a number of petitions claiming that creationism isn’t “science” and only serves to confuse children. After all, many of these evolutionists seem to operate on the assumption that the majority decides truth and that we would be hard pressed to find scientists and teachers who would support a museum like ours.
We are happy to disappoint them.
Not long after these petitions sprang up around the internet, AiG asked you, our readers, to let us know what you thought about the Creation Museum. And while we knew (given the 120,000+ visitors so far) that we had many supporters out there, we could not have imagined the tremendous feedback we’ve received. In fact, we have spent several weeks sorting through all of it, and more continues to come in.
For those who claim that creationism isn’t science, the scientists and teachers who have written in thus far would disagree. From environmental scientists to psychologists to biologists, God’s Word is a sure foundation for the history of the earth. College professors, engineers, and zoologists tell us that not only is a literal Genesis good science, it’s the best explanation for the world we live in. The Creation Museum is, in fact, one of the best places to see how presuppositions affect interpretations—according to the physicists, botanists, pharmacists, dentists, and countless teachers who wrote in to show their appreciation for our presentation of the creation-gospel message.
But don’t just take our word for it. We invite you to peruse some of the submissions that we have received, and we will continue to add to them over the weeks and years to come. If you are a teacher or scientist and would like to show your support of the Creation Museum, please be sure to tell us your opinion.
