A chorus of secular media outlets (New York Times and Time magazine being the loudest ... and most off-key) were gloating a few weeks ago in the discovery of a supposed “missing link” between fish and land-dwelling creatures. They believed Tiktaalik should finally silence the creationists.
The media, which had also presented claims in the spring that Jesus walked on ice not water, that Judas was not so bad after all and that an anti-Christian film was based on sound scholarship (see Da Truth?), sounded a cacophony of praise for the evolutionists, who made the highly speculative claim that this Arctic fossil is a transitional creature.
