The sacrilegiously titled Evan Almighty is a summer sequel to 2003’s financially successful PG-13 film Bruce Almighty, featuring Jim Carrey. The new comedy film involves Evan (played by Steve Carell), a newscaster-turned-congressman, who is anointed by God (played by Morgan Freeman) to accomplish a special mission: building an Ark.

Previewing this new movie was not possible at press time, but based on Bruce Almighty we would expect some bad language and other disagreeable elements, including implicit mockery of the Bible’s account of Noah’s Flood and the Ark.
