Get Everyone Energized 

In the months preceding VBS, host a video outreach to those in your community who don’t normally attend church to encourage them to register their children for Gold Rush. Show the video Evolution of Darwin: His Impact

During VBS 

To put together a program for your teens and adults, we suggest adapting material from the Junior Teacher Guide and including a video each day. See below for more specifics. 

Suggested Schedule (3 hours) 

9:00–9:20: Opening Assembly (all together) 

9:25–10:55: Bible Time 

11:00–11:35: Craft / Snack / Game time 

11:40–12:00: Closing Assembly (all together) 

Day 1 Bible Time (90 minutes) 

5 minutes: Adapt the introduction (“Howdy, Partners”) from the Junior Teacher Guide, Lesson 1. 

Introduce the video The Authentic Christ by Brian Edwards .

50 minutes: Play video. 

25 minutes: Adapt “Staking His Claims” from the Junior Teacher Guide.

10 minutes: Review with “Gem to Treasure” and “Part 2: Go and Do.” Encourage participants to learn memory verse. 

35 minutes: Craft / Snack / Game time 

Choose a combination of games/snacks/crafts from the various leader guides, depending on the ages and interests of your participants 

Day 2 Bible Time (90 minutes) 

5 minutes: Adapt the introduction (“Christmas in . . . ”) from the Junior Teacher Guide, Lesson 2.  Introduce the video What if Jesus Had Never Been Born? (coralridge.org, product code 107019).

50 minutes: Play video. 

10 minutes: Adapt “Scribe Describes” from the Junior Teacher Guide.

10 minutes: Adapt “Prophecy Fulfilled.” 

10 minutes: Adapt “Jesus’s Birth—Heaven to Earth.” 

5 minutes: Adapt “Gem to Treasure” and “Part 2: Go and Do.” 

Encourage participants to learn memory verse. 

Day 3 Bible Time (90 minutes) 

5 minutes: Adapt the introduction (“Pretend or Real?”) from the Junior Teacher Guide, Lesson 3.

Introduce the video The Person of Christ by Voddie Baucham .

55 minutes: Play video. 

15 minutes: Adapt “Radical Power” from the Junior Teacher Guide.

10 minutes: Adapt “Radical Teachings.” 

5 minutes: Adapt “Gem to Treasure” and “Part 2: Go and Do.” 

Encourage participants to learn memory verse. 

Day 4 Bible Time (90 minutes)

5 minutes: Adapt the introduction (“Sad to Glad”) from the Junior Teacher Guide, Lesson 4.

Introduce the video Who Is this Jesus? Is He Risen? (coralridge.org, product code 115251) or DaVinci Delusion (coralridge.org, product code 114143).

50 minutes: Play video. 

10 minutes: Adapt “Sad News” from the Junior Teacher Guide.

10 minutes: Adapt “Glad News.” 

10 minutes: Adapt “Gospel Presentation.” 

5 minutes: Adapt “Gem to Treasure” and “Part 2: Go and Do.” 

Encourage participants to learn memory verse. 

Day 5 Bible Time (90 minutes)

5 minutes: Adapt the introduction (“Before and After”) from the Junior Teacher Guide, Lesson 5.

Introduce the video Ee-Taow.

60 minutes: Play video. 

20 minutes: Adapt “Who Am I?” from the Junior Teacher Guide.

5 minutes: Adapt “Gem to Treasure” and “Part 2: Go and Do.” 

Encourage participants to learn memory verse. 

Wrap Up

During the closing program, play The Last Adam video.
