Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a wonderful opportunity to invest in the spiritual lives of the children in your church and community. For the average VBS, you have about three or so hours every day for five days to impact the little lives in your care. How can you make the most of every minute?

Answers VBS is designed to utilize every station as an opportunity to reinforce the message of the day.

Well, Answers VBS is designed to utilize every station as an opportunity to reinforce the message of the day. So snacks are more than just fuel, games are more than just fun, and crafts are more than just creativity. But here are some additional ideas to help you get the most from your VBS time.

While you are walking between classrooms or waiting for your class’ turn at a station or the restrooms, reinforce what the children are learning by practicing the Bible memory verse, naming some of the attributes of God (a big part of our Mystery Island VBS), or reading the VBS trivia facts.

Or use those opportunities to continue to build a relationship with the children, particularly those from the community who you may not see at church on Sunday. Chat with them, ask them questions about what they like, and share some details about yourself. Help them know that you care about each one of them. Most of all, point them to Jesus!
