Decorating for Mystery Island: Tropical Fruits

Our 2021 Answers VBS takes place on a tropical island paradise, Mystery Island. And what’s paradise without food—particularly delicious tropical fruits? Tap into this aspect of the island theme to decorate spaces such as the snack area, nursery, or a hallway.

Our test church created a beautiful banquet of bright, yummy fruits outside their kitchen.

Hang paper decorations from the ceiling like pineapples, strawberries, and other fruits.

Yellow plates can be cut and attached in groups of three or four to look like banana bunches. Scatter some leaves on the ceiling around them—and maybe even have a monkey or two peeking out—for a fun addition to a room for young children or a jungle hallway.

Brown balloons become coconuts! Attach them to paper leaves and add some brown streamers for cute little trees with a yummy addition.
