Dr. John Marcus, B.A., Ph.D.
Creationist Biochemist and Molecular Biologist
John Marcus obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Chemistry at Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa in 1987. His Ph.D. in biological chemistry at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1993 involved research on enzymes. He is now a Senior Research Officer at the Cooperative Research Centre for Tropical Plant Pathology (University of Queensland Campus). His research involves the discovery and characterisation of anti-microbial proteins from plant sources to enhance disease resistance in agriculturally important plants. John and Amy Marcus and their two young children attend the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Australia, Brisbane.
