Ken Ham of AiG–US will be a featured speaker at one of America’s largest, conservative Bible conferences, “Steeling the Mind of America,” August 25–27, 2000. Ken’s talk will be one of the first given at the conference, Friday evening, August 25 at 7 p.m.
This major annual conference, held this year in the Rocky Mountain town of Keystone, Colorado (west of Denver), will include other well-known speakers, such as Josh McDowell, John Ankerberg, Frank Peretti, Woodrow Kroll, and David Noebel. The conference will end Sunday at noon. Meetings will be held at the Keystone Resort and Conference Center—many activities are being offered to conference participants in this highly scenic part of the Rocky Mountains.
By the way, the conference phrase “steeling the mind” is another way of saying “strengthening your mind,” in the sense that Christians must strengthen their minds with the truths of God’s Word, especially during this skeptical, questioning age.
Ken’s talk will be on racial issues, and is based on his popular book One Blood: The Biblical Answer to Racism. He will explain the origin of the different people groups around the world and present the biblical answer to the problem of racism.
Speakers will address a variety of issues, from Bible prophecy to Christian lifestyle. Although AiG is grateful that all of the speakers appear to have a desire to proclaim the authority and accuracy of the Word of God, their views do not necessarily represent those of Answers in Genesis.
For information on this annual conference, call (in the U.S.) 1-800-258-0437 or go to the conference website www.compass.org.
