Praise for Creation curriculum, It All Begins with GenesisJust wanted to say that I love your new curriculum! As a home-schooling mother and 6th grade Sunday School teacher, I find that it has the flexibility to adapt to any teaching setting, and contains many great ideas for augmenting the lessons with fun games and activities. My students have responded with an interest and enthusiasm that I have not seen in previous classes on Genesis. Because we don't have enough weeks to do the whole course, I have left some of the lessons to do at home with parents. I feel I am leaving each child with a gold mine of information and resources for understanding clearly the Biblical worldview of our beginnings.
Lydia S., 6th grade Sunday school teacher, Missouri, USA
The students in seventh and eighth grades at Greenbrier Christian Academy have grown tremendously in their Biblical studies as a result of their experience with Building a Christian Worldview beginning with Genesis Students have benefited from direct instruction in the inductive study method while expanding their understanding of foundational truth found in the book of Genesis. It is encouraging to watch as they apply precepts of Biblical creationism to their scientific studies and gain new understanding in light of God's truth. Life applications occur naturally as a result of the student's ability to understand scripture not based on man's interpretations but as a direct result of them spending time in God's Word being taught by the Holy Spirit. Their involvement in this study has had an impact not only on their academics, but their social interactions as well. This study is a must for every school desiring to disciple their student's into a greater understanding of their Creator God!

A wonderful study based on the book of Genesis. There is no better or easier way to learn what Genesis teaches about Origins than this course. It will help you to understand the Biblical world view and will give you a firm foundation upon which to interpret the world - past, present, and future. It is designed for Middle School age students but anyone, young or old, will benefit from this course. This course looks cute and easy and it is, BUT it is also very profound! I highly recommend this course!

This curriculum is excellent! I am so thankful to have finally found a comprehensive package to teach origins issues that starts at the beginning, uses lots of hands on activities, and is adaptable to various age groups! The inductive skills approach is absolutely fundamental and this resource trains both the teacher and the student to understand and apply scripture in a way that is relevant, exciting and practical. There is so much "built in" support with this package as the teacher's manual and appendices have made the job of lesson preparation so easy. I look forward to using this resource for many years to come with my students as we explore the truth of the Biblical worldview and in doing so get to know more of Him in whom all things hold together!

This is it! Systematic. Simple. Creative. But fun for student and teacher! Shelia has developed a course that provides the white corpuscles Christian middle schoolers need to discern and combat the plurality of worldviews inhabiting our world --near and far. The time is long past for parents and teachers to not merely challenge the Christian young mind to sift all he sees and hears but provide the tools needed to do it biblically. With precise goals, Shelia has provided in one course all that is needed to begin and finish successfully. The visuals are uncomplicated, colorful and imaginative teaching aids, and the entire curriculum can be adjusted to fit any forum. As a former homeschooling parent, I would have enjoyed using this course with our now adult children. As a teacher of the inductive study method, I am delighted to see the added benefit of learning inductive study principles. As a home missionary, I appreciate its adaptability to the field. A sound study timed for today!

We have used the Worldview/Genesis curriculum with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes. We found the material to be easy to use and modify for a variety of situations and age levels. We plan to use it with teens and young adults in the future. We work with Native Americans and find it difficult to find curriculum that is culturally neutral and were delighted to find that the Worldview/Genesis curriculum is predominately. The graphics are a big hit and are a real teaching aid with the younger children (the adults too). The extra activities and augmenting lessons are a great resource for helping those who are visual or hands-on learners. We are thoroughly pleased with the curriculum and suggest it to anyone who is interested in helping build a good biblical foundation in lives of a variety of age groups, or are looking for a curriculum that can be used for Sunday School, Children's or Youth Group, special Bible Studies, or any number of situations.

During the 2001 - 2002 school year I had the opportunity to teach Sheila Richardson's Genesis Course the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes at Highland Baptist Christian School In New Iberia, La. As a volunteer, I had each class for 45 minutes once a week. The lessons are teacher friendly and offer many suggestions for class activities. The children were enthusiastic about their lessons and class participation was high. The 6th grade teacher liked the course so much that she requested that the school continue this Genesis course as the 6th grade Bible curriculum for next year. The Principal approved the request.
The 16 students in the 6th grade were polled regarding their preference of materials and 15 of the 16 chose the Genesis course over previous materials. The games included for review were so much fun! The kids were always looking forward to the next game of Zonk!
During the year the children learned to read the text and see for themselves what the first 11 chapters of Genesis is all about. At the end of the year they had a firm foundation regarding biblical vs. naturalistic world views. They could back up their opinions on creation, the origin of sin and it's consequences, the flood, and the beginning of the nations.
We are looking forward to next year when the teacher will have five days a week to teach Genesis to the students. She will have a wealth of material to offer the students using this inductive study course for children.

Wow, the worldview curriculum is EXCELLENT!! I am so very, very excited about it! It is so teacher friendly that I was able to look it over in an hour! I already mentioned it to the middle school SS teachers and they are excited about it sight unseen! I praise God for you. I am so excited about the difference this will make in kids' lives. (This church used the material all this year in Grades 6-12)

I would like to order a set of your new materials.......I am sooo excited! My heart's cry is for our kids to understand these issues. I believe that everything else we believe hinges on what we believe about Genesis, and I believe too many of our adults don't even know the truth about it.
Sue L., Middle School education director, Illinois
I absolutely love the material! The students seem to be following it very well . I believe they are enjoying the in depth study and are shocked that we are only in the second chapter of Genesis!! The only thing I have trouble with is adapting some of this material to such large numbers of students. I have 102 students. Sometimes I change the games around a bit. They love Zonk! We play it every other Monday when I review with them for their test. I speak of you often when I am teaching. I will tell them of your prayers for our classes. They are much appreciated!!

A concerned parent approached me when he heard his son was going to have to study Genesis in Sunday school, AGAIN. Having previewed the material personally, I promised him the class would not be a boring repeat. Eight months later I was talking with the same parent who was enthusiastically sharing with me the significant things his son was wrestling with and learning. "Are you the same parent...?" I reminded him. He apologized and we laughed together. Likewise "How to Build a Christian View of God's World" far exceeded my expectations as one of the teachers. The material moved between 3 instructional foci: learning how to study the Bible on your own, building a Biblical worldview while understanding and being able to talk with others about their worldview, and expanding a scientific understanding of creationism and naturalism. The learning experience was optimized with skits, games, small group discussions, videos, overheads, teaching, outdoor activities, interactive notebooks, and tons of stuff for posting on the walls. I have been teaching for over 25+ years. This is by far the best material I have ever used. And not only was it fun, but it is also very clear how lives were changed. Kids actually learned how to feed themselves from the Word of God, talk intelligently about their faith, and grow in their love of our awesome Creator God.
Bob Arms, Sunday school teacher, Virginia
The Genesis study is great! The kids find it very interesting and relevant. Many of them have studied some of this in school, but from a naturalistic worldview. The curriculum is straight-forward and teacher friendly and preparation is minimal. It is also thought-provoking and motivates both the teachers and the students to want to know more.
