Q:
Should we teach evolution to our children?
A: Absolutely!
| Quotable
quote: ‘They
[most Americans] believe that the Earth is billions of years
old and that life evolved gradually from simple to complex
forms. But they also believe that evolution was a means
by which God carried out a plan to create humans. For tactical
reasons, Darwinists don't rush to tell all these people
that they are missing the point, but all in good time. Let
people first learn that evolution is a fact. They can be
told later what evolution means.’
—Phillip E.
Johnson (Professor of Law, University of California at Berkeley),
’Unbelievers unwelcome in the science lab,’Los Angeles Times, 3 November 1990. |
Sadly, some Christian parents say that their children were
only going to learn about creation and hear nothing about evolution.
But this is not a good idea!
Our children should know more about evolution than most evolutionists.
We’ve nothing to be worried about if we teach our children
the truth about evolution. In fact, it’s imperative
that they learn it.
Children need to be taught that evolution has no basis in science,
that there are no facts that support it, and that it’s actually
an evil philosophy. In fact, the men who popularized evolution wanted
to stop people from believing the God of creation. The more our
children know about evolution, the more they’ll see that it
has no basis in truth whatsoever!
We must obey the Scriptures and teach our children to distinguish
good from evil, as the book of Hebrews tells us. And to do this,
we must train them in the truth of creation and teach them the fallacy
of evolution.

Education Question:
Have you ever wondered where the people went as they dispersed
from Babel? In this intriguing
article, the authors show how secular history gives much evidence
that the survivors of Noah’s Flood were real historical figures
whose names were indelibly carved on much of the ancient world.
Textbook of the Month:
Our featured textbook of this month is The
Bible Comes Alive. Dr Clifford Wilson, a renowned Australian
archaeologist and educator, has gathered photographs from his own
collection on Middle Eastern archaeology. Set up to follow the order
of the books of the Bible, these photos and texts run from creation
to Revelation! Included are many photographs of artifacts and sites
from the Bible!

Please pray over the following items during the next two weeks
…
-
Next week we will be posting new museum-related photos at
www.CreationMuseum.org
so that you can follow the exciting progress of the construction
of the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky.
-
AiG intends to move its four different operations to this site
in September (we will share more details about this exciting
development in a special letter that supporters will receive
in mid-May)—please pray that there will be effective planning
now so that when AiG moves into the new facility, its outreaches
will not be disrupted. Pray that the offices will be ready for
occupancy by September.
-
AiG, in cooperation with Gospel Literature Services, is translating
AiG’s The 4 Big Questions booklet into many new
languages, in preparation for the Greek Olympics in August.
Pray that these new booklets will be translated, printed and
shipped in time for distribution throughout Athens and beyond.
-
Praise God, Dr Sarfati’s new book Refuting Compromise
is seeing a wide distribution, and many pastors in particular
are reading it. Please pray with us that many more churches
and Christian leaders will see the danger of compromising with
the Bible’s first book. (By the way, Dr Sarfati and Ken
Ham will be conducting a live
webcast on Tuesday, 27 April, from 9–10:30 pm eastern
daylight time, on this ‘compromise’ topic—just
go to our homepage, www.AnswersInGenesis.org,
for easy instructions on how to listen to Ken and Dr Sarfati
live on your computer.)
