Q: Are fossils millions of years old?
A: All over the world we find fossils—these are the buried remains of creatures that are preserved in rocks. Many Christians say that they believe the fossil record must be millions of years old. After all, that’s what most scientists are saying.
But not all scientists believe this. And, even more importantly, the Bible tells us that death of man and animals did not occur until after the first man, Adam, sinned (Romans 5:12). So there couldn’t have been animal or human fossils before sin.

Evolutionist quote of the week
“Thus, for example, a great English traveller, who lived for a considerable time on the west coast of Africa, says: ‘I consider the negro to be a lower species of man, and cannot make up my mind to look upon him as “a man and a brother,” for the gorilla would then also have to be admitted into the family.’”
– Ernst Haeckel, The History of Creation, p. 365.

The whole basis of the gospel message is that sin brought death and that man needs to be redeemed. The Bible also tells us that one day there’s going to be a restoration of all things—a new heavens and a new Earth. Death will be removed; the curse will be gone; there will be no more suffering or crying. It will be a perfect place (Revelation 21).
Christians can’t believe the fossil record is millions of years old; it destroys the whole gospel message.
Evolutionists say that paleontologists have found many examples of transitional fossils for creatures such as birds, whales and horses. Is this true? Does the fossil record support evolution?
