When Ken Ham travels around the world to speak on the accuracy and sufficiency of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, he often teaches about the best method to reach out to those who do not know Christ. Here he shares with us why so many people reject what the Bible says:
I believe that creation evangelism is actually one of the most powerful tools today to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And yet, most Christians don’t even know about this biblically based method to evangelize.
I speak to thousands of people each year around the globe. I often ask the following question of audiences: “How many of you have tried to preach the gospel to someone—but find they reject what you say by bringing up something to do with evolution or millions of years?”
Without exception, I find a large number of hands go up. I then point out to these people that the teaching of evolution—and millions of years—is one of the biggest barriers to people being responsive to the gospel. For them science has supposedly proved the Bible wrong. So, why should they listen when you talk about the message of the Cross?
Operational science supports what God’s Word says about a young earth and humanity’s special role in creation. When you refute the world’s evolutionary arguments and show the lost that the Bible’s account of creation can logically be defended, they are much more likely to listen to the gospel. As a result, we at Answers in Genesis have seen many come to Christ our Creator! And we thank God for the work He has done through us during the past 12 months.
May the Lord bless you and others through you in this upcoming year.
