Q: What news mattered in 2008?
A: Believe it or not, yet another year has come and gone—and believe it or not, the creation/evolution controversy, and along with it the controversy between Christianity and humanism, have yet to be settled!
For the third year in a row (see 2007 and 2006), we’re finishing up the year by recapping the news stories and recurring themes that made headlines in the debate over origins, whether the topics were out among the stars, here on planet earth, or in the culture.

On Christmas Eve, we met the donation-doubling amount of $150,000. Thank you so much for your support. Since response was so overwhelming, we’ve given a year-end goal of $350,000 (keep track of the progress—updated live!) in conjunction with our “End of Year” feature, where you can see where your prayerful help and gifts have been used this past year and some plans for the future, Lord willing.
We, again, thank you for remembering us in your end-of-year giving. Your donations help keep the ministry of Answers in Genesis alive—including free outreaches such as this weekly newsletter.
