Q: Are AiG seminars effective for non-believers?

A: A young man told AiG that he became a Christian as a result of an AiG seminar the year before.

We asked this young man if he would give his testimony in front of the 2000 people at this conference. And what a testimony it was!

Quotable quote:

‘We have no acceptable theory of evolution at the present time. There is none; and I cannot accept the theory that I teach to my students each year. Let me explain. I teach the synthetic theory known as the neo-Darwinian one, for one reason only; not because it’s good, we know it is bad, but because there isn’t any other. Whilst waiting to find something better you are taught something which is known to be inexact, which is a first approximation …’

– Professor Jérôme J. Lejeune, internationally recognised geneticist, from a French recording at a lecture given in Paris on 17 March 1985.

He explained to the audience that he used to be an ardent atheist. He studied evolution at university and he was extremely anti-Christian. His wife had become a Christian and he severely persecuted her. But his wife obeyed the Scriptures and remained a loving wife through this very emotional time.

She pleaded with her husband to come to the creation seminar that was advertised by her church. To her surprise he agreed—but only to show her once and for all that Christianity was false. After hearing the lectures, he was dumbfounded. He went to the university library to check out what he heard at the seminar. He was shocked to find how his evolutionary professors had led him astray.

He believed Genesis and the rest of the Bible, and became an on-fire Christian!

Education question:

Are sea monsters more than a legend?

Reports of unknown monsters of the deep have been a part of sea lore for hundreds of years, but very little attention has been paid to such tales until recent years. Find out why …

Textbook of the month:

Our featured textbook of this month is The Genesis Files.

You’ll read about a spelunker (cave explorer) who transported Christian films to clandestine places and miraculously avoided capture by the authorities, the first plastic surgeon in the world to successfully reattach a human ear, a family of geniuses, an aerospace engineer who works for the world’s largest tactical missile producer and more. All are young-earth creationists who have followed God’s leading—many at great personal expense. Inspiring and extremely interesting!

Praise and Prayer | Upcoming AiG Events

Praise and Prayer

Please pray over the following items during the next few days …

  • Pray for AiG’s Board of Directors, for all the deliberations, plans and goals that have been discussed during this past week of meetings which will set the future course of direction for the ministry.

  • Pray that our growth will be commensurate with our outreach as the Lord continues to bless our labors all across this nation.

  • Please pray for next year’s 18-day speaking tour by AiG–Australia’s Gary Bates (host of the new but already popular AiG video Aliens, UFOs and the Bible—and a soon-to-be-released book on the same topic). Gary, an excellent communicator, will be giving talks similar to those by Ken Ham, including ‘The Relevance of Genesis.’

It’s been a few years since AiG has conducted such a ‘circuit tour,’ with a speaker impacting many towns over a lengthy period, so please pray for the reintroduction of this concept and for the lives that will be touched. If you live in the Southeast (including Virginia and Florida) and want to make an impact in your community for biblical truths, contact Steve Fazekas at 1-800-350-3232, ext. 438, to inquire about available dates.
