Mary K. Mohler serves in ministry as the president's wife at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and as the founder and director of Seminary Wives Institute, an academic program for student wives at Southern Seminary and Boyce College. A native of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Mary is a summa cum laude graduate of Samford University where she earned a BS in Biology. She was valedictorian of her high school class at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Mrs. Mohler has contributed to several devotional books as well as to the forthcoming book, Recovering the Christian Woman?s Home; she wrote a pamphlet titled Modeling Modesty and has coordinated Christian Essentials for Ministry Wives, a DVD and study guide driven study. She also serves as a women?s conference speaker and recently completed two terms of service as a board member at A Woman?s Choice Resource Center, Louisville?s crisis pregnancy center.
Her favorite role is that of wife and mother. She and her husband, Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr. have two grown children, Katie and Christopher. The Mohlers have been married for 28 years. Mary?s interests include cooking, travel and time with her family, especially at their lake house.
