The big bang model is the idea that the universe came from a big explosion billions of years ago. Evolutionists believe that energy and particles from the big bang formed atoms, the tiny things that are the building blocks for all matter in the universe. They believe those atoms formed everything else over billions of years.

But the idea of the big bang doesn’t match what God’s Word says. In Genesis 1, we read that God spoke the universe into existence in six days, not billions of years. Genesis also tells us that God created the earth before he created the stars. The big bang model says that stars came first.

Some Christians think God might have used the big bang to create everything, but this idea doesn’t come from the Bible. As Christians, we should put our trust in God and his Word, not in the guesses that imperfect people make.
