Badger

Badgers eat many small mammals and pests that can quickly overpopulate areas. They were originally created as vegetarians, but after the Fall, they became helpful in keeping the populations of many of these animals from becoming too large. The excellent senses of hearing and smell let the badger find food that is underground.

Features

  • The badger’s body is wide and relatively flat-looking.

Fun Facts

  • The badger seems unharmed by the venom of rattlesnakes, unless bitten on the nose.
  • The skin of the badger is very loose-fitting which allows it to sometimes break free from a predator’s hold.
  • The badger has been known to plug the exit holes of its prey before attempting to capture it.
  • The home of the badger—underground tunnels and chambers—is called a sett.
