Noah Stood for God

Adam and Eve had many children, yet each was born wanting to disobey God. This continued through their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and so on until the time of Noah, who was a great-great-great-great-greatgreat- great-grandson of Adam. He was born 1,056 years after God created Adam.

Sadly, all the members of Noah’s huge (many thousands!) extended family chose to disobey their Creator. Most didn’t believe God existed. Only Noah had remembered and believed the true accounts that had been passed down from Adam about the loving God who had created them. Noah may have heard about God from his grandfather Methuselah who was born during Adam’s lifetime!

With God’s help, only Noah was willing to stand for God when everyone else denied Him. According to the Bible, Noah was a “preacher of righteousness” (2 Peter 2:5), so it’s very likely that he told those around him about God and how God wanted them to live.

Question for you: Are you a preacher of righteousness? Will you stand for God? With God’s help, you can tell your friends and family about the one true God!
