Hey there, Creation Explorer!

If you’ve been following our blog since the beginning, you might remember a December post titled, “We’re Getting a New Cast Member!” Well, that new cast member recently (or should I say “finally?”) made an appearance!

We’re so excited to announce the safe arrival of our new baby: Gilbert James Clark Schu, born on April 4th, 2022.

As you can see, Gilbert is absolutely adorable, and Winston, Felicity, and Lois are very excited to have a new baby.

Now, we didn’t get to meet Gilbert until just recently, but his Creator has known him since before time began and has been fearfully and wonderfully knitting him together for nine months.

Some people might say that Lois, who was our littlest for a while, is a big sister now that Gilbert is here, but Lois has been a big sister for nine months! She just hadn’t met the baby yet. Why does this matter?

Well, some people believe that a baby isn’t really a person until a certain point in their development, such as when the heart starts beating, or the baby can survive outside Mom, or when the baby is born. But a baby’s stage of development isn’t what makes that baby a person. A baby is a person from the very moment he or she is first created in the mother’s womb (belly), even though he or she is too tiny for us to see at that point! A baby is a person because God, the Creator, has said so (see Psalm 139).

Babies are a wonderful gift from God, and we are so thankful for our little Gilbert. We can’t wait to get out on some more adventures with all four of our precious Creation Explorers. Until then, remember Psalm 139:13, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.”
