Can I Use Zoomerang for a Backyard Bible Club or VBS Camp in 2022?

Well, Answers VBS programs are adaptable for backyard Bible clubs, Sunday school, summer camp, after school programs, evening programs, all-day VBS camps or programs, and more! For each of the standard five VBS days, we offer a wide variety of adaptations, extra crafts and games, and more. There’s more available with your kit than you can cover during five half-days during VBS week. So use those extra options to stretch Answers VBS out over several months, five full days, or whatever your church needs.

Begin with the Bible lesson as your main focus—choose a time to share the lesson, perhaps during an assembly or chapel or any time the whole group is together. For mixed ages, we suggest using the Primary teacher guide. Then add the various elements as you have time and space. If you offer a craft time, consider using one or more of the suggested crafts. For your game time, you might choose to include one of the suggested games. If you have additional “together” time, you might want to include the Creature Feature and sing some of the VBS songs. Snacks don’t typically factor into a camp experience but if you have an overly ambitious cafeteria coordinator, you might be able to squeeze in one or two of the suggested snacks. You wouldn’t necessarily need to include the live drama (unless you have a bunch of volunteers who want to put it together) but could instead show the shorter videos (a new option for Zoomerang). And making Scripture memorization part of any program is always encouraged—we offer simple games to play as well as songs that reinforce the daily verses.
