Experiences from Our Interns

“It has been such an amazing experience working for Answers in Genesis under the Embark program! I’ve gotten incredible opportunities to learn, develop my skills, and see what it takes to run a ministry as large as Answers in Genesis. The work environment is wonderful, and it is very encouraging to be surrounded by like-minded people who love God and who are working toward a common goal.

Working in the Programs department has been inspiring for me. Because I’m a biology major in college, it has been neat to use what I know about God’s creation and be involved in teaching the guests who come to learn about it. I was involved in content creating and presenting. This experience grew my skills and taught me about what it takes to make information understandable and top quality for guests. I even developed my own Discover program and presented it to guests. This has been an amazing opportunity to strengthen and develop my teaching skills. I was also given the amazing opportunity to write several articles for Answers magazine and Kids Answers mini-magazine. Being a part of creating written content has helped my writing and communication skills grow.

I would recommend this internship to any student in STEM who has a passion to teach others about the amazing way God has created the world!”

“It has been a huge blessing to be a part of the Answers in Genesis Embark program! During my internship as an assistant buyer in retail, I was able to gain practical experience in a variety of areas related to my field of study. My team was so welcoming and more than willing to teach me the many complex aspects of retail at AiG. The general culture of AiG has greatly encouraged and strengthened me in my walk with Christ. The freedom to talk about the Lord and pray together through work challenges is amazing. There’s really nothing else quite like it. If you’re serious about serving God, learning new skills for his glory, and having your faith strengthened, then I would greatly recommend the Answers in Genesis Embark program!”

A Note from Ken

Proverbs 3:27 is one of my favorite passages of Scripture on leadership. It reads, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it." Embark, the Answers in Genesis internship program, honors that in a way I find quite exciting.

Equipping the next generation of Christian leaders has always been a priority for Answers in Genesis, and this program continues that commitment. Embark is designed to develop students professionally, personally, and spiritually through apologetics training and hands-on opportunities that only we can provide. I recommend you encourage all your students to consider an Embark internship with AiG no matter their degree pursuit.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for Embark?

Embark is open to current college students pursuing a degree who are at least 18 years old and possess sophomore credits.

What Is the Length of an Embark Internship?

Embark internships begin in either February, May, or September each year. This will usually be three or six months.

What Skills Will I Learn During My Internship?

Along with coaching and hands-on training within your field, Embark is structured to assist interns in learning business basics like time management, problem solving, delegation, communication, and more. Embark also includes a series of development sessions to provide a well-rounded experience and programmed events to provide social and spiritual growth opportunities for interns.

Why Should I Choose Embark Over Other Internship Opportunities?

We’re biased, but we think Embark is one of the most excellent internship programs you could pursue! Embark interns will experience one of the core values of Answers in Genesis, which is to serve the AiG family generously, with excellence, reflecting God’s love.

An Embark internship will help you to apply the skills you are learning in college in a workplace environment while gaining practical work experience with a supportive team committed to coming alongside interns and training them. After your internship, you will return to university energized, equipped, and ready to grow even more!
