Why is “Climate Anxiety” Growing?

Fear, panic, and depression—these are some of the symptoms associated with so-called “climate anxiety.” Apparently, many young people are reporting that this is what they’re experiencing as they think about the future. They don’t want to get jobs, buy houses, or have kids because they believe the world is ending.

But Christians have a different worldview. You see, we understand that, ultimately, God—not man or natural forces—is in control. And climate change isn’t going to destroy the world—Scripture is clear that it’ll end in a fiery judgment.

We can have hope because of the gospel. Our biggest problem—sin—has been solved by Jesus’ death … and our future is in the hands of our Savior.
