Yesterday we learned that it’s clear from Genesis one, and other places in Scripture, that God created in six days. But many Christians will take ideas from outside the Bible—such as millions of years—and try to add them to the Bible. They’ll say God created over long periods of time.

But this idea has a lot of problems—and here’s the biggest one: the supposed millions of years come from the rock layers. Well, these are filled with fossils. So if they’re millions of years old, that means death and disease existed for millions of years before sin.

But that’s not what the Bible teaches! Death wasn’t part of creation until Adam sinned. Before that, it was “very good.”
