Jesus was asked a question about marriage in the context of divorce. He responded by saying God made us male and female. And when a man leaves his father and mother, he becomes one flesh with his wife.
Do you know where Jesus quoted from? Genesis chapters one and two!
Jesus believed the creation of Adam and Eve, and the first marriage were real historical events. And there’s more. Jesus said this happened “at the beginning of creation.” That means creation can’t be billions of years old, or Jesus lied.
But Jesus did not lie. Genesis—yes, it’s to be taken as literal history!
