If the universe started with a big bang, it would’ve been very hot and dense, expanded to today’s vast universe.

Now, the universe is the same temperature everywhere. But there’s not enough time, even with billions of years, for opposite ends of the universe to have exchanged heat! This is a big problem for this model.

So, scientists proposed something called “inflation.” They say: maybe the universe rapidly expanded right after the big bang, faster than the speed of light. This may fix the problem, but there’s now a new problem. There’s no evidence for inflation!

Inflation only exists in the imagination of scientists who want the big bang to work, but it’s not scientific.
