Dr. David Crandall
Dr. David R. Crandall has been involved in full-time ministry for almost 50 years. He began his ministry as a youth pastor and then a senior pastor of two dynamic churches in New York and Indiana.
After his pastoral ministry, Dr. Crandall served 12 years as international director of Gospel Literature Services in Schaumburg, Illinois. He led this ministry to publish and translate Christian literature in 117 languages and expand into 138 countries. He has led numerous mission trips, including 21 tours of the Holy Land, and has conducted ministries at six Olympic Games.
Overall, David and Diana Crandall have ministered cross-culturally in 98 countries. By his final year at GLS, the ministry had distributed gospel literature to some 350 million people.
In 2006, God directed Dr. Crandall to join the team at Answers in Genesis. He was named International Director and helped launch our international outreach. He was responsible for taking AiG’s creation apologetics ministry around the globe. Our international outreach is translating, publishing, and distributing AiG materials to the mission fields of the world.
For over 35 years Dr. Crandall has served on the executive board of the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is currently the chairman of ABWE International.
David has a chapter in the AiG’s The New Answers Book 2 and has authored eight Olympic witnessing booklets, with over 3 million copies having been distributed at various summer and winter Olympic Games since 1996. Today, he serves as the director of Olympic ministries and is preparing for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
David and Diana have four grown children who all live in the US: Lisa (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Amy (Clarks Green, Pennsylvania), Rev. David Jr. (Indianapolis, Indiana), and Stefanie (Canton, Michigan). All of their children are married and serving the Lord in various ministries. The Crandalls enjoy spending time with their 10 grandchildren.
In 2015 the Crandalls celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
